You thought it couldn’t be done!

January 30, 2011

Well, you were never more wrong. :)

My blog, after much procrastination, is finally 100% up-to-date.

What that means from now on is that I will only be creating posts when something interesting happens, and I will NOT be keeping a large backlog again. When I post a new entry, I will more than likely share a link on Facebook from now on.

I appreciate everyone who has kept an eye on my blog, even though my stats are showing that nobody actually looks at the massive amounts of pictures I have posted. You usually need to click to get to them. ;)

To leave you for tonight, here is a picture of a fox stencil located at the Warwick Avenue tube station.

I was going to take a picture myself on the way to the museum, but the council has already had it covered up by unmatching paint that makes it looks worse than it did.  As a result, I got this picture off my flatmate Alex.

Banksy Fox

Cheers! :D

January 30, 2011 – British Museum

January 30, 2011

Hehehehe...

Well, I have got a new job starting on Tuesday, after a month of stress trying to find work. It is a call centre position for eSpares.co.uk. Should be good, but I’m nervous.

I decided that on one of my last days of freedom, I should actually do something.

So I did. A mate and I went to the British Museum. Now, I have been there before, but it was very rushed so I missed a lot. It really is a massive place.

So, it is really cool wandering around. I covered some ground I had already seen before, and found some things I had no idea were there. It really is amazing to look at all of the pillaged artefacts. It’s great that such history is free to see as well.

But…

It only took 2 hours to get bored, so I vowed to go back. We went and had food afterwards.

How exciting. Pictures! :P

January 26 2011 – JOBS! MONEY! SECURITY!

January 30, 2011

After the storm...

Alright, so I am NOT coming home just yet!

I had an interview on Monday, and an interview this morning.

I got offered the position for the one I had on Monday, and I am taking it!

I start on February 1, 2011.

I am now 100% sorted!

Thanks everyone! :)

January 16 2011, DINOSAURS! RAWR!

January 30, 2011

My baby friend and I

It’s been a rather stressful week and a half of job hunting. This city is very messed up, and nobody makes it easy to do anything. Bloody pain in the ass!

I won’t bore you with the details, instead I will continue on to the good part.

The Natural History Museum!

Ooooh...

Dec 20 2010 – Jan 1 2011 – Happy Non-Denominational Festive Holiday Season

January 30, 2011

So, Happy Birthday to me now!

Wake up, and I am sick as a dog. Alex was kind enough to bring home a bottle of Vodka for my birthday, and when he came into the living room I was covered in blankets and laying in the foetal position in front of the fire.

Yeah, that continued until Christmas Eve. Missed a job interview due to it, but I also missed work so there is a plus.

Christmas Eve I did go to work, but it wasn’t so bad, with more days off coming up after! :)

Christmas was uneventful. We slept in, made pizza (from scratch!), drank booze, and went to bed.

After that there is to be no job hunting until into the new year, due to everything being shut down for the rest of the month essentially. Oh well.

New Years, I was in bed by 11:30 because I needed to work. I did sort-of think about going to the fireworks, but decided against it. Too much hassle, too many people. I later watched a video on YouTube, and now I am thinking I should maybe have gone! lol…l Ah well, next year, if I’m still floating.

Anyways, that’s aboot it. In a few more days some serious job hunting starts!

December 8 2010

January 30, 2011

Suit and tie.

Well, my contract at Westminster Abbey is not being renewed, so that means I need to start looking for work. I borrowed a suit off of a friend, and proceeded to do just that. December just seems like a terrible time to be looking for work, what with half the month pretty much shut down.

Oh well, after my first foray into job hunting, it was time to let off some steam.

PAPA ROACH AND DISTURBED AT WEMBLEY ARENA!

Fucking hell. First Papa Roach and Rammstein, now Papa Roach and Disturbed.
What a fucking blast!

As expected, Papa Roach’s setlist wasn’t too great, DISTURBED FUCKING ROCKED. Had a great time. Front and centre, glad I wasn’t sick again. Got another autograph from Papa Roach’s bassist.

:)

November 19th, 20th, and 21st, 2010. Birmingham.

January 30, 2011

I went to Birmingham. I had a wonderful and… filthy… time there. I forgot the battery to my camera, so no pictures. I don’t want to tell everyone what I did, so no write up. I will say that I stayed at a wonderful hostel, and I spent most of the weekend drunk. I then went back to London, after having very little sleep and not showering for a couple days, to watch the Dame Edna Experience (previously posted about) and drink a little bit more. I slept like the dead that night, and I scrubbed off a lot of dirt the next morning before work.

Wait, I suppose I have one picture I can share…

Me and beer in Birmingham.

Cya later, folks. :)

November 13 2010 – Lord Mayor’s Show

Life Guards and I.

Another gloomy grey day in London.

My friend Chris and I decided to go down to St. Paul’s Cathedral and watch the Lord Mayor’s Show.
